Wire diameter, turn count and length are set by the deposition conditions. Tell us the equipment and the metal to be evaporated and we will confirm and reply.

KEY FEATURES
Wire diameter and turn count set the evaporation rate
In a coil, resistance is the evaporation rate.
The combination of wire diameter and turn count sets the resistance and how much metal it can hold.
High melting point · low vapor pressure
High Melting Point
Tungsten 3,422 °C. Far above aluminum, so the coil does not melt first.
Wetting control
Wetting Control
Molten aluminum has to spread and wet along the coil for even evaporation. Wire diameter and pitch control it.
Coil forming
Coil Forming
Stress is relieved before winding. The wound form must not spring back, which makes fitting easier.
Melting points by material
Melting point °C. The coil has to be far above the metal being evaporated.
Why wire diameter matters
A thin wire heats fast but breaks sooner; a thick one lasts longer but takes more power.
Consumables
An evaporation coil is a consumable. Wire diameter and turn count are set again in light of the replacement interval.

DESIGN PRECISION
The coil is set to the equipment
In a coil, wire diameter and turn count are what distinguish the product.
In the same coil, changing the wire diameter and turn count changes the resistance and the evaporation rate.
Wire diameter design
Wire diameter is set to the supply power and the target evaporation rate.
Capacity
Turn count and pitch are set to the amount of metal to be evaporated.
Supply form
Length and leads are matched to the equipment's electrode spacing.
We do not pick a specification, we develop it with you. (Give us the equipment's electrode specification and the metal to be evaporated, and we will work out the wire diameter with you.)

HANDLING
Handling precautions
These apply to refractory metals in general. Service life depends heavily on how the parts are handled.
01
01
Do not touch the parts with bare hands after unpacking. Oil from fingerprints carbonizes at high temperature and becomes a contaminant.
02
02
The material is weak against impact and bending. Tungsten is brittle at room temperature and can crack if dropped.
03
03
Do not heat above 500°C in air; oxidation accelerates sharply. Always use the parts in a vacuum or an inert atmosphere.
04
04
Avoid rapid heating and cooling. On first use, we recommend pre-heating (aging) at low current.
05
05
Store indoors in a dry place and keep the moisture-barrier packaging intact.
If your installation or operating conditions are unusual, our engineers will review them in advance. Send a drawing or your process conditions and we will start by selecting the right material with you.
