KEY FEATURES

Thermal mass decides the control

The thinner it is, the faster it heats and cools.

AlN Heater Cross-Section

The smaller the cross-section, the lower the thermal mass and the faster the temperature control.

01

Low thermal mass

Low Thermal Mass

A thin section heats and cools quickly, holding the target temperature precisely.

02

Temperature uniformity

Temperature Uniformity

An even cross-section along the heating length reduces temperature variation across the whole source.

03

Low-contamination surface

Low Contamination

High-purity material and surface treatment keep impurities out of the organic film.

Melting points by material

Tungsten (W)3422
Molybdenum (Mo)2623
Stainless steel1450

Melting point °C. The higher the figure, the higher the temperature it withstands.

Why thermal mass matters

Organic materials decompose if overheated. Fast response is what keeps the target temperature within a narrow band.

Repeated use

Deposition and cooling repeat, so it is formed with no residual stress at the bends.

DESIGN PRECISION

Resistance set to the equipment

In a heater, cross-section and heating length are what distinguish the product.

Product cross-section

In the same geometry, changing the cross-section and length changes the resistance and the heating rate.

Resistancebasis

Cross-section design

Cross-section and length are worked back from the target resistance and supply power.

Drawingbasis

Machined geometry

Bent to the mounting specification of the source.

W · Mochoice

Material selection

Tungsten where the highest temperature is needed, molybdenum where formability is.

We do not pick a specification, we develop it with you. (Give us the equipment dimensions and the target temperature and resistance, and we will work out the cross-section with you.)

LEAD TIME

Fabrication and Lead Time

This product is made to your drawing. Here is the process, step by step.

STEP 01

Drawing received

Send us the heater dimensions, rated power, terminal positions and required temperature uniformity.

Reply within 1 day

STEP 02

Design review

We propose the heating pattern and review the temperature distribution and thermal mass.

3 – 5 days

STEP 03

Pattern machining

The thin sheet is precision cut to the pattern and the terminal section machined.

By agreement, depending on the production schedule

STEP 04

Inspection · delivery

Resistance and temperature variation are measured, and the part ships with a test report. Repeat orders to the same drawing skip the review stage.

By agreement, depending on the production schedule

Minimum quantity

From 1 piece

Varies with dimensions and pattern.

Standard lead time

About 3 – 4 weeks

From drawing approval. A pattern change adds the design review period.

HANDLING

Handling precautions

These apply to refractory metals in general. Service life depends heavily on how the parts are handled.

01

01

Do not touch the parts with bare hands after unpacking. Oil from fingerprints carbonizes at high temperature and becomes a contaminant.

02

02

The material is weak against impact and bending. Tungsten is brittle at room temperature and can crack if dropped.

03

03

Do not heat above 500°C in air; oxidation accelerates sharply. Always use the parts in a vacuum or an inert atmosphere.

04

04

Avoid rapid heating and cooling. On first use, we recommend pre-heating (aging) at low current.

05

05

Store indoors in a dry place and keep the moisture-barrier packaging intact.

If your installation or operating conditions are unusual, our engineers will review them in advance. Send a drawing or your process conditions and we will start by selecting the right material with you.
