KEY FEATURES
Reliable high-purity material, precision cutting to order
We cut carefully selected high-quality plate precisely to the dimensions and drawing you specify.
High density · shielding performance
High Density Shielding
Tungsten density 19.3 g/cm³. At the same thickness it shields better than lead, which allows thinner, lighter equipment design.
Precision cutting to size
Precision Cutting
Laser cutting, wire cutting and other methods suited to the material and thickness minimize deviation from the drawing.
A clean finish and good flatness
Clean Finish & Flatness
Plate is cut cleanly without surface scratches or distortion, then packed securely for supply.
Density by material
Density g/cm³. The higher the figure, the better the shielding at the same thickness.
Choose the thickness and size that fit the application
For shielding you can choose high-density tungsten; where machinability and light weight matter, molybdenum, tantalum or another material that fits best.
Distortion after cutting
Plate with residual stress warps the moment it is cut. We select stress-relieved material to hold flatness.

DESIGN PRECISION
Size and thickness set to the application
Tell us the thickness and the dimensions on your drawing and we will cut the most suitable plate to order.
Beyond dimensions, hole machining, chamfers and special geometries are all reflected as drawn.
Thickness choice
Thickness is chosen to the shielding target and the permissible weight.
Precision cutting
Plate is cut to your drawing and dimensions without deviation. Holes and chamfers are supported as well.
Material selection
Tungsten where shielding is the aim, molybdenum for high-temperature heating and structural members, tantalum where corrosion resistance is needed.
You can buy plate in standard sizes as it is, or send us a drawing and we will provide a cutting service optimized for your application.

LEAD TIME
Fabrication and Lead Time
This product is made to your drawing. Here is the process, step by step.
STEP 01
Drawing received
Send us the material, thickness, cut dimensions and surface condition. If you have no drawing, the service conditions alone are enough to start.
Reply within 1 daySTEP 02
Specification review
We review thickness, flatness and surface condition and propose a cutting method. Where useful we propose a material change as well.
2 – 4 daysSTEP 03
Rolling · machining
Rolled in stages to the required thickness, stress relieved, then cut to the dimensions on the drawing.
By agreement, depending on the production scheduleSTEP 04
Inspection · delivery
After precision quality inspection (thickness, dimensions, flatness) the part ships with a test report. Repeat orders to the same drawing skip the review stage.
By agreement, depending on the production scheduleMinimum quantity
From 1 piece
Varies with thickness and dimensions. Prototypes can be made from 1 piece.
Standard lead time
About 2 – 3 weeks
From drawing approval. The thinner the material, the more rolling stages.
Supplied with it
Test report
Thickness and dimensional measurements are sent with the delivery.

HANDLING
Handling precautions
These apply to refractory metals in general. Service life depends heavily on how the parts are handled.
01
01
Do not touch the parts with bare hands after unpacking. Oil from fingerprints carbonizes at high temperature and becomes a contaminant.
02
02
The material is weak against impact and bending. Tungsten is brittle at room temperature and can crack if dropped.
03
03
Do not heat above 500°C in air; oxidation accelerates sharply. Always use the parts in a vacuum or an inert atmosphere.
04
04
Avoid rapid heating and cooling. On first use, we recommend pre-heating (aging) at low current.
05
05
Store indoors in a dry place and keep the moisture-barrier packaging intact.
If your installation or operating conditions are unusual, our engineers will review them in advance. Send a drawing or your process conditions and we will start by selecting the right material with you.
